We Are Moving

Hello My Friends,

A lot has happened this past few weeks. I've been MIA a lot on my blog and on YouTube. I enjoy watching all of my friends YouTube videos because I get so much inspiration. I just haven't had the time. I want to keep you all updated with what's going on in my life as much as I can.

I've lived in a very nice Mobile Home Park for 11 years. My Mobile Home is paid for and we didn't feel like we needed anything else. As my children have grown up, it's been hard to live in such a small space. We've prayed about a solution for a few years but we always came back to the fact that we only had to pay a few hundred a month for rent and not a HOUSE NOTE!! Things haven't gone too well since new owners took over the Park a few years ago, so we needed to find a home. The search was on and it took a while.

We found a home and signed the papers today. I'm very excited but very scared at the same time. The fear comes from having to move 11 years worth of STUFF into the new home. I have health problems and I'm worried that I won't be able to do it. I have a wonderful family and they are going to help, but it's still scary. My mom says that I wouldn't be "Me" if I didn't have something to worry about. LOL!! Truthfully, I wish we would have done this during the Summer when I wasn't teaching. I feel pressured to move in this weekend when I know I have plenty of time. So, if you don't see me commenting on your video's or updating my blog, you know what's going on. I only plan on being MIA for a couple of weeks. I hope you all have a wonderful few weeks and I will miss you.

Gift From Stephanie (Altered Clothes Pins)

Hello my friends. I'm so sorry for being MIA for so long. School started on August 6th and it's been so busy. I teach Computer Lab to 2nd through 5th grade and I love it so much. I'm just ready for things to slow down so I can get back into scrapbooking and creating.
This is an amazing gift I received from Stephanie (stephanoid69 on YouTube). I went to my mail box and saw this package from her. She told me to expect something but I never in a million years thought it would be this!! Just look at how beautiful these altered clothes pins are. My jaw dropped on the floor when I saw them. The detail is amazing and the pictures just don't do them justice.



Do you want to know the best part? When I opened the card, she wrote me the sweetest note and told me that she made one for me and my mom. :) My mom is my best friend and I share everything with her. I bought one of Stephanie's Grab Bag flower boxes she sells on her blog. I brought it over to my mom's house and she couldn't get over how talented and creative Stephanie is. I told this to Steph and she made one of these altered clothes pins for her. When I brought the gift to my mom, she literally cried. She couldn't believe someone would be so kind to think of her. Stephanie has blessed both of us and words cannot express my thanks. Much love to you Steph. :)
Just look at how beautiful they are. I love the colors she choose and the flowers. The images are simply gorgeous. I also love how she added old book paper to the inside of the pins. My First Tag Swap "Twilight Team Edward"

Hello my sweet friends. First let me say that this is the very FIRST tag I have EVER made. I am a die hard Twilight fan. When I found out that Bona at "Livelovescrap" was hosting a "Twilight" tag swap I was so excited and signed up. You could choose different themes. The theme I chose was "Team Edward". I hand made everything on this tag except the trim at the bottom, prima flowers, and the pocket on the back. I purchased a "Twilight" stamp set and it went perfect for this project. :) The charm was very easy to do. I stamped the image on heavy cardstock, stamped it in Versamark, and did 3 layers of UTEE on both sides. I think it came out cute, especially with the saying "Team Edward" on it. :) I hand made the lollipop flower using Arlene's (mybutterflykisses12) technique. They were easy to make but very time consuming. Please click on the picture if you would like to get a better view of the tag.
This is the back of my tag. I bought a set of Martha Stewart envelopes that had confetti in them. I dumped the confetti out and used it as an envelope to hold a small tag with my information on it. At the very bottom I stamped "Cullens" because that is my Eddie's last name. LOL :) I forgot to mention that I distressed the sides of the tag and then went over the sides with a black paint dabber.
Finally, this is the small tag I made to go inside the envelope on the back. It has the "Cullen Crest" stamped at the top. I distressed the tag with Tea die and glimmer misted it. Again, you can click on any of the above images to get a closer look. I had a lot of fun making these tags. It took longer than I thought but I'm excited to see what the other ladies come up with. Random Goodness

Hello Friends. This post is very random but I love everything in it. In the above picture, I decided to try and make a couple of flowers. Please understand that I am just starting out and only practicing. With the white lace flower I did a running stitch along the side and pulled the lace tight. I then sewed the ends together. I used my glue gun to adhere a pearl in the center. I am very happy with how it came out. I tried out the "Ribbon Flower" technique. It didn't go very well in my opinion. You can still see parts of the chipboard on the edges. Like I said, it was just practice and I'm sure I will get better as time goes by. :) With this technique, I just twisted the ribbon around my fingers and adhered it to the chipboard circle. I WON!! I WON!! In the above picture you can see that I won a Cricut "An Ocean Of Words" cartridge. I entered a giveaway on Julie's blog (Readysetstamp.blogspot.com) and I can't believe that I won. I was so excited that I could hardly type in my mailing address to her. LOL. Check out this cute card she made me. It's so cute with the little bird. She is so creative and I love all her amazing work. Thank you so much Julie.

This above picture is my latest Antique store find. We have a little "Village" in our town filled with antique stores. I found some amazing old music sheets and an old book. I almost don't want to tear it up and distress it. HA HA. The one on the bottom right has notes where someone actually wrote their own music. I thought it was a sweet little find. :)

Last but not least, I ordered a few things from Joanns.com. We don't have a Joanns in our area so I try to take advantage of their online sales from time to time. I would like to make my own stick pins, so I bought a pack of the corsage pins. When I placed my order, I had no idea the bling on the right side of the picture were so huge. LOL. It's okay, we can all use bling no matter what size. HA HA. I've wanted the "Summer in Paris" cartridge for a long time. I can't wait to start cutting out the cute images it has. This Boy

Hi Everyone. I hope you had a wonderful week. I truly had a wonderful week because of This Boy!! This is Nick and he is my Nephew. He is my heart and soul. I also call him my "Shadow" because I can't go anywhere without him following me and me literally stepping on him. LOL. He came to stay with me and my hubby for three days. I have to admit that I was so tired because I am not used to having a 3 year old around. It was totally worth it to see these smiles on his face. What I've been up to

I just wanted to let you know what I've been up to this week. I haven't been feeling very well lately. That's not really a good thing considering I waited until the last minute to make my daddy his Fathers Day gift. When I get it done I promise to post pictures. Actually, I haven't gotten any crafting done this week. It could be that my craft room is a total mess right now. It's in bad need of a makeover. LOL. Anyway, something good did happen. My son is taking Drivers ED. At first I didn't know how to feel about it, but quickly got over that. He's 16 years old and I need to give him a little space. He's been driving this whole week with the Driving Teacher. She says he's doing very well. I'm a proud mama!! :) Tomorrow and Saturday I will be working on my daddy's present, so you may not hear anything from me until Sunday night or Monday. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Sweet Rak, My Order, A Small Haul

Hello Everyone, First let me say that I am not good at this blogging thing. After uploading the pictures, I couldn't figure out how to get them exactly right so I could explain what everything is. I hope I don't confuse everyone because I sure am. LOL. The above picture is a package that came to me today from Stephanie (Stephanoid69 on YouTube). I asked her if her Michaels had any Vintage Ladies Stamps, and if they did, could she pick them up for me. She was so sweet to pick up two stamps for me and I am so blessed. She not only got the stamps but added way more than that. She made homemade flowers out of her very own art design, she gave me some music sheets, tags, clips, charms, lace, another cute bird stamp, vintage clippings from an old magazine, bling, and last but certainly not least, she made me a tag. No one has ever made me a tag before. This is my very first one!! I was so excited that I was crying happy tears. It's so very beautiful. Words cannot express the appreciation I have for Stephanie and I feel very blessed right now. Below I have a picture of the tag and homemade flowers she made. This was a very special order for me. I ordered the Tim Holtz birdcage die from Carlene (Pinkscrapper99 on YouTube). She just opened up a new store online so please check her out. Her store name is "pinkscrappersboutique.blogspot.com". She has great prices and wonderful service. She included three pieces of cardstock that she embossed with the new Tim Holtz Embossing Folders. She also included some prima flowers and some cute buttons. I am very thankful for that. I can't wait to make something with my new die. YEA!!
Okay, this is kind of funny. I went to my local scrapbook store to pick up a few sheets of the Graphic 45 Fashionista papers. You can see in the picture above that I didn't stick to what I was there for. LOL. I'm so glad that I only had 30 min to shop because they were closing for the day. I did enough damage as it was. I'm having a hard time finding the Prima "say it with pearls". They only had one pack left and it was in brown. I was so happy to find it. I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed week.
